Vikingard

Vikingard is a strategy game with touches of role-playing. In it, you take charge of a Viking tribe forced to start from scratch after being nearly destroyed by a rival tribe. Before you start playing, you first have to customize your character's appearance by choosing from several faces, hairstyles, tattoos, and weapons.

Most of your time playing Vikingard is spent managing your city. You'll need to rebuild and improve many of its structures, returning it to its former glory little by little as you defeat enemies and gather resources. You'll need to build and improve farms, mines, ports, barracks, and more. The future of the city is in your hands.

On top of managing the city, you'll also need to manage your heroes, who are responsible for bringing you riches and glory. At the beginning of the game, you'll only have one hero in your group, but as you play, you can recruit many more to join your army. With the resources you collect, you can also level them up and improve their weapons. The stronger your warriors, the better the rewards you'll earn from looting your rivals.

One of best parts of Vikingard is its port battles. In these battles, you choose one of your warriors to fight against your enemies, who are disembarking from their ship. To do so, you'll have to move through the different boxes, choosing which one will provide the best benefits to you at each moment. Basically, you'll need a solid strategy in order to win.

Vikingard is a good strategy game with gameplay that fans of the genre are sure to recognize from other games, now in an awe-inspiring Nordic setting. Best of all, it has great graphics, as well as thoughtful and varied character design.
